PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS METODE VIDEO DAN DEMONSTRASI TATAP MUKA DALAM PRAKTIKUM PEMASANGAN INFUS

Penerapan praktik laboratorium dengan menggunakan video meskipun diharapkan mampu memberikan pengalaman praktik yang sama dengan tatap muka di laboratorium, namun memunculkan pertanyaan pada praktisi laboratorium keperawatan tentang efektivitas media video sebagai media pembelajaran tunggal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas metode video dan demonstrasi tatap muka dalam praktikum pemasangan infus. Penelitian ini merupakan true eksperiment dengan pre-post test design yang dilakukan pada mahasiswa Program Studi program studi Diploma III Keperawatan, Politeknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Jayapura pada bulan Juni - September 2023. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 52 orang yang dikelompokkan menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu yang diberikan pembelajaran secara tatap muka dan kelompok yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan video. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann-whitney, uji wilcoxon dan uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan secara signifikan nilai rata-rata sebelum dan sesudah pada masing-masing kelompok pemberian pembelajaran dengan diberikan video (p= 0,001) dan pembelajaran tatap muka (p= 0,000). Ada perbedaan rata-rata skor nilai keterampilan tentang kompetensi pemasangan infus antara kelompok yang diberikan video dengan kelompok tatap muka (p= 0,047). Sedangkan pada pengetahuan, tidak ada perbedaan antara kelompok yang diberikan video dan demonstrasi tatap muka (p= 0,552). Pembelajaran dengan pemberian video dapat dipertimbangkan sebagai media pembelajaran praktikum pemasangan infus.
Abstract
The implementation of laboratory practices using videos, although expected to provide the same practical experience as face-to-face in the laboratory, raises questions among nursing laboratory practitioners about the effectiveness of video media as a single learning medium. This study aims to test the effectiveness of video methods and face-to-face demonstrations in intravenous infusion practicum. This research is a true experiment with a pre-post test design conducted on students of the Diploma III Nursing Study Program, Politeknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Jayapura in June - September 2023. The research sample consisted of 52 people who were divided into 2 groups: those given face-to-face learning and a group given learning with videos. Data analysis used the Mann-Whitney test, Wilcoxon test, and paired t-test. The results showed a significant difference in the average value before and after in each learning group given with videos (p= 0.001) and face-to-face learning (p= 0.000). There is a difference in the average skill score about the competence of intravenous infusion installation between the group given the video and the face-to-face group (p= 0.047). Meanwhile, in knowledge, there is no difference between the group given video and face-to-face demonstration (p= 0.552). Learning with video provision can be considered as a learning medium for intravenous infusion practicum.
