Copyright and Licence

1. COPYRIGHT

Authors who publish in Jurnal Keperawatan Tropis Papua (JKTP) retain full copyright of their work without restrictions. By submitting a manuscript, authors grant JKTP the non-exclusive right of first publication. Authors are free to enter into separate contractual arrangements for the distribution of the published version of the work — for example, depositing it in an institutional repository, posting it on a personal or institutional website, or including it in a book — provided that the original publication in JKTP is acknowledged with a full citation and a link to the published article.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that any third-party material included in their manuscript — such as figures, tables, or excerpts — is used with appropriate permissions and that such permissions are documented.

2. LICENCE

All articles published in JKTP are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC-BY-SA 4.0). The licence terms are displayed on the published version of each article. Under this licence, anyone is free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially

These freedoms are granted under the following conditions:

  • Attribution — appropriate credit must be given to the original authors, a link to the licence must be provided, and any changes made must be indicated. Attribution must include the authors' names, the article title, the journal name, volume, issue, year, and DOI.
  • ShareAlike — if the material is remixed, transformed, or built upon, the resulting work must be distributed under the same licence (CC-BY-SA 4.0) or a compatible licence.

3. SELF-ARCHIVING

Authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive their work at all stages of publication:

  • Pre-submission: authors may post a preprint version of their manuscript on a recognized preprint server (e.g., medRxiv, OSF Preprints) prior to submission. The existence of a preprint must be disclosed at the time of submission.
  • Post-acceptance: authors may post the accepted manuscript in an institutional repository or on a personal or institutional website, with acknowledgment of the journal and a link to the published version.
  • Post-publication: authors may post the final published version anywhere, including institutional repositories and academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), provided that the original publication in JKTP is clearly attributed and the article DOI is included.
