Copyright and Licence

1. COPYRIGHT

Authors who publish in Jurnal Keperawatan Tropis Papua (JKTP) retain full copyright of their work. By submitting a manuscript, authors grant JKTP the right of first publication. Authors are free to enter into separate contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work — for example, depositing it in an institutional repository, posting it on a personal or institutional website, or including it in a book — provided that the original publication in JKTP is acknowledged with a full citation and a link to the published article.

Authors are encouraged to share and disseminate their work as widely as possible before, during, and after the submission process. Pre-submission posting (e.g., on preprint servers) is permitted and does not affect consideration for publication. Authors are responsible for ensuring that any third-party material included in their manuscript — such as figures, tables, or excerpts — is used with the appropriate permissions and that such permissions are documented.

2. LICENCE

All articles published in JKTP are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC-BY-SA 4.0).

Under this licence, anyone is free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially

These freedoms are granted under the following conditions:

  • Attribution — appropriate credit must be given to the original authors, a link to the licence must be provided, and any changes made must be indicated. Attribution must include the authors' names, the article title, the journal name, volume, issue, year, and DOI.
  • ShareAlike — if the material is remixed, transformed, or built upon, the resulting work must be distributed under the same licence (CC-BY-SA 4.0) or a compatible licence.

3. SELF-ARCHIVING AND OPEN ACCESS

JKTP is a fully open-access journal. All published content is freely available to readers without charge, registration, or embargo. There are no subscription fees or access barriers of any kind.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive their work at all stages:

  • Pre-submission: authors may post a preprint version of their manuscript on a preprint server (e.g., medRxiv, OSF Preprints) prior to submission.
  • Post-acceptance: authors may post the accepted manuscript (post-peer-review, pre-copyedited version) in an institutional repository or on a personal website, with acknowledgment of the journal and a link to the published version.
  • Post-publication: authors may post the final published version (version of record) anywhere, including institutional repositories, personal websites, and social academic networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), provided that the original publication in JKTP is clearly attributed and a DOI link to the published article is included.

Open access publishing is supported by the journal's commitment to maximizing the visibility, accessibility, and impact of published research, particularly in the context of health sciences in eastern Indonesia and tropical disease settings.

4. ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGE

Information regarding the Article Processing Charge (APC) is available on the APC page. The open-access status of JKTP is not contingent on payment; editorial decisions are made independently of APC considerations.

5. DISCLAIMER

The editors and publisher accept no responsibility for the accuracy of information contained in published articles, or for the consequences of any actions taken on the basis of information published in this journal.
