PENGARUH REBUSAN DAUN SIRSAK (ANNOVAMURICATAL) TERHADAP KADAR GULA DARAH SEWAKTU PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE II

Pengendalian kadar gula darah masih menjadi tantangan tersendiri di Indonesia. Rendahnya kepatuhan dalam diet, kebiasaan olahraga dan minum obat teratur serta gaya hidup yang buruk masih menjadi masalah dalam pengendalian kadar gula darah. Penggunaan tumbuhan obat seperti daun sirsak banyak dilakukan oleh masyarakat yang diyakini menurunkan kadar gula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rebusan daun sirsak dalam menurunkan glukosa darah pada penderita diabetes melitus Tipe II di Puskesmas Talang Ubi Pali. Penelitian ini merupakan quasy eksperiment rancangan sebelum dan setelah dengan grup kontrol. Responden dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 18 orang. Terjadi penurunan rata-rata kadar gula darah sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pemberian rebusan daun sirsak sebesar 67 mg/dl. Hasil analisis diperoleh nilai p=0,003, yang berarti bahwa penurunan kadar gula darah signifikan secara statistik. Ada pengaruh yang signifikan intervensi pemberian rebusan daun sirsak pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe II untuk menurukan kadar gula darah.Â
Controlling blood sugar levels is still a challenge in Indonesia. Low adherence to diet, exercise habits and taking the medication regularly, and a bad lifestyle is still problems in controlling blood sugar levels. The use of medicinal plants such as soursop leaves is widely carried out by the community which is believed to reduce sugar levels. This study aims to determine the effect of soursop leaf decoction in lowering blood glucose in patients with Type II diabetes melitus at the Talang Ubi Pali Health Center. This study is a quasi-experimental design before and after with a control group. Respondents were divided into 2 groups, namely the intervention group and the control group, each with 18 people. There was an average decrease in blood sugar levels before and after the intervention of giving soursop leaf decoction of 67 mg/dl. The results of the analysis obtained a p-value=0.003, which means that the decrease in blood sugar levels was statistically significant. There is a significant effect of the intervention of giving soursop leaf decoction in type II diabetes melitus patients to lower blood sugar levels.
